General Information

Summary:
This course is designed for professionals who support the Special Hauling Permits function within the Department. These personnel deal directly with applicants seeking hauling permits for extraordinary loads, often in challenging circumstances. Due to the pressures faced in such circumstances, emphasis will be placed on dealing with demanding customers and defusing difficult situations. The session is interactive and will provide guidance with immediate applicability on the job.

Learning Outcomes:
A. Define customer service as it relates to the Special Hauling Permits function.
B. Describe three essential elements of customer satisfaction.
C. Establish customer expectations and priorities through interaction with the customer.
D. Create a work environment that supports customer service excellence.
E. Resolve service issues professionally.
