General Information

Summary:
This training provides an overview of the regulatory and Department requirements of investigation, characterization, and mitigation of asbestos and lead paint applicable to roadway design, maintenance and construction projects. Specific examples will be provided and focus on satisfying Department policy, federal requirements, and state/local regulations and guidance.

Learning Outcomes:
Attendees will obtain a better understanding of:
•Project management of key aspects/elements
•Developing/assessing technical scopes of work
•Personal protective and environmental protection requirements
•Required licensing and/or certifications
•Pre- and post work notifications and reporting
•Specific roles and responsibilities of Department personnel
•Applicable references
