General Information

Summary:
This course provides an overview of Pub 321, Air Quality Handbook and Pub 24, Highway Traffic Noise Handbook. It will give a basic understanding for the need to analyze Air Quality and Highway Traffic Noise during the Transportation Project Development Process. An overview of state and federal requirements will be presented. Scoping, levels of analysis and analysis procedures will also be covered.

Learning Outcomes:
Following this course the participants will be able to:
- Determine the appropriate level of analysis for air and noise
- Understand basic procedures of the air and noise analysis processes
- Understand state and federal regulations regarding air and noise
- Understand reporting requirements for air and noise
- Properly scope a project for air and noise analysis
