General Information

Summary:
This webinar will provide an overview and familiarization of PennDOT’s newly revised Section 4(f) Handbook, Publication 349. The session will review changes that resulted from the updated
FHWA Section 4(f) Policy Paper and other identified clarifications. Revised forms will be reviewed at a high level. A working knowledge of Section 4(f) requirements is assumed and will not be
provided as part of this session.

Learning Outcomes:
Participants will gain a detailed understanding of the changes resulting from the revised FHWA Policy Paper (2012), as well as recent changes as provided in the revised PennDOT Section 4(f)
Handbook (2014). They will also gain knowledge on the overall Section 4(f) process, and how to determine the type of Section 4(f) and documentation that is appropriate.

Prerequisites:
A working knowledge of Section 4(f) requirements is assumed and will not be provided as part of this session.

Target Audience:
Highway engineers with an interest in or need to know about 4(f) policy.
