General Information

Summary:
The presenters of the webinar will give an overview of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials’ (AASHTO) Highway Safety Manual (HSM). Topics will include a description of the HSM contents, including the road safety management process, safety prediction methods, and crash modification factors. Additionally, efforts that are currently underway in Pennsylvania to integrate the HSM into the project development process will be described.

Learning Outcomes:
Participants will gain a basic understanding of the contents of the Highway Safety Manual as well as current efforts to integrate the HSM into the project development process.
