General Information

Summary:
This course explores basic construction management activities, related accountabilities, and supporting documentation and information. It defines the role and responsibilities of the Inspector-In-Charge (and of the ACE/M) and presents the responsibilities by construction phase.
The course provides strategies and resources to manage construction activities effectively during the preconstruction, construction, and post-construction phases.
This course incorporates information from the IIC Reference Guide (PUB 75).

• Describe and demonstrate effective construction management techniques.
• Provide opportunities to practice construction management scenarios.
• Draw on individual and group experiences to enhance individual proficiency.

Teaching Method:
This class is instructor-led and offers opportunity for class participation of on-the-job experiences.
It will be presented virtually on the WebEx platform.

Prerequisites:
Attendees should have reviewed and be familiar with the Inspector-In-Charge Reference Guide -- PUB 75, (available from PennDOT Forms & PUBs).

This is Prerequisite For:
Advanced Construction Management

Target Audience:
Inspectors-In-Charge and those new to the position of Assistant Construction Engineers/Manager (ACE/M).
