General Information

Summary:	This training is designed to familiarize users with the mapping application PennDOT One Map. Participants will learn what data is available to them for mapping from the multiple different asset management systems that PennDOT has. These systems include but not limited to the Roadway Management System (RMS), Bridge Management System (BMS), Multimodal Project Management System (MPMS). Participants will learn how to use the number of tools that are available in PennDOT One Map to compare and analyze data spatially from the afore mentioned asset systems. Training includes a combination of instructor lead steps through the system, as well as some built system maps that users can begin to answer business questions with. Requests such as Right To Know or general inquiry from the public can be answered using this tool.
Learning Outcomes:	Upon successful completion of this course, an attendee will have working knowledge of: - PennDOT One Map's access to multiple different asset management systems (RMS,BMS,MPMS) . - How to create, save, share and print maps that users themselves create. - Understand how the use of GIS and Cartography can assist with business making decisions.
