General Information

Summary:
This course provides training on Bentley Rebar; Rebar is a concrete structure (bridge) reinforcing computer application that works with MicroStation to produce standard reinforcement details, calculate quantities, and create bar schedules. This training provides the participant with various options for detailing concrete structures and shows enhanced detailing capabilities using 3D modeling tools.

Learning Outcomes:
Students will be trained in Rebar detailing practices and methodologies, scheduling procedures, 3D modeling & clash detection, and Rebar object creation, modification and reuse. Course includes a small, real world project to be completed with the help of the instructor and fellow classmates.

Prerequisites:
Students must have completed the Microstation Basics and Microstation Advanced course as well as have a minimum of 1 year bridge design and detailing experience. They must also be prepared to dedicate time to practicing what they have learned once they return to their work place.

Target Audience:
Only students who require training on the advanced software and techniques covered in this class, and who are involved in bridge design, bridge reinforcement, or bridge rehabilitation should plan to attend. Students and supervisors are urged to review the course outline to help determine if this training will be beneficial.
