General Information
Summary:
A one day workshop on concrete mix proportioning, materials, and construction. The materials presented will be consistent with the products of the Performance Engineered Mixtures program. Information provided will include the rationale behind the recently balloted AASHTO Guide Specification, new test methods being introduced, and how mixtures can be prepared and adjusted to meet the needs of contractors and agencies alike.
Learning Outcomes:
The primary objective of this Workshop is to provide information about what are the critical properties that affect the constructability and longevity of a concrete pavement, how these properties can be provided with local materials, and how users can be assured that the critical performance has been achieved. The workshop will cover:

Target Audience:
DOT engineers, their engineering consultants, interested cities and technicians, along with industry contractors and suppliers.
Special Materials:
The PowerPoint presentations will be included in the participant's booklet. Also included will be a copy of the draft AASHTO Guide Specification and Commentary.
