General Information

Summary:
This course will provide an introduction to fundamental tools, concepts, and terms necessary to begin using the OpenRoads Designer CADD software. In addition, this course will introduce the workflow to import legacy files from prior CADD software versions.
Students will be required to have OpenRoads Designer 2022 R1 (10.11.00.115) software installed on their laptop.
Students will be required to have the current PennDOT CADD workspace on their local hard drive.
Students will need to have access to the OpenRoads Designer training materials in Microsoft Teams.
Students will need to have a prior knowledge of how to use Microsoft Teams to attend and participate in the virtual class.

Introduction to OpenRoads Designer (New Concepts)
Exploring the User Interface Importing InRoads Legacy Files

Learning Outcomes:
Understand New Concepts in OpenRoads Designer
Navigate the OpenRoads Designer Ribbon Interface
Use Common Interface Tools (Explorer, Properties, and References)
Manage Multiple Views and Models
