General Information

Summary:
The overall objective of this course is for attendees to be able to collect survey data using different methods in the field and then process and combine those types of data into one final deliverable.
Training will involve the use of both survey equipment and Trimble Business Center (TBC) surveying software. The equipment will include Total Stations, GPS, Terrestrial Scanners, and TSC7’s.
Attendees will be responsible for bringing their own equipment provided by the districts.

Learning Outcomes:
use of both TBC survey equipment and TBC surveying software.
• locate topography around the training building with the survey equipment.
• use the total station and GPS to locate vegetated surfaces and the terrestrial scanner to locate non vegetated surfaces (hard surfaces).
• use the data collectors using all the pieces of equipment. This will include the collection and downloading of all data. Once the data is collected attendees will then download and process the data using Trimble Business Center.
• understand this process which includes quality control and the process of combining the different forms of the data collected.
• provide a final deliverable.
