General Information

Summary:
The Mechanized Base Repair training course was developed for County
Maintenance Personnel including County Maintenance Managers, Assistant
County Maintenance Managers, Highway Foreman and Maintenance Field
Personnel who are directly involved in maintenance operational
activities..
The purpose of the Mechanized Base Repair training is to provide an
overview of the policies and procedures for quality base repair
operations in accordance with Publications 23 (Maintenance Manual) and
113 (Foreman’s Manual).

Learning Outcomes:
The objectives of the Base Repair training are:
• Planning and scheduling process
• To promote an understanding of Base Repair operations as related to current policies and procedures.
• To assist maintenance personnel with troubleshooting problems associated with base repair operations.
• To ensure all steps are followed in proper sequence for base repair operations
• To assist maintenance personnel in identifying different types of pavement distresses and various methods of base repair.
• To promote the effective and efficient use of Department resources when planning and performing base repair operations

Target Audience:
County Maintenance Managers, Assistant County Maintenance Managers, Highway Foreman and Maintenance Field Personnel.
