General Information

Summary:
Familiarize Project Managers with the key elements and process requirements regarding Railroad involvement on Department highway and/or bridge projects. This will be an overview of the standard operating procedures for Highway and/or Bridge projects involving Railroad facilities.

Learning Outcomes:
This overview will provide Project Managers with the necessary information and procedures required for their projects that have Railroad involvement. It will cover everything from development of the Departments SOW and man-hour estimates through construction. This overview will be accordance with the guidelines and requirements set forth in the latest edition of Pub 371 – Grade Crossing Manual June 2008 Edition, Chapter 4 and related appendices and 23 CFR.
